Kenyan midfielder, Victor Majid has joined Zambian Super League side, Prison Leopards until the end of the season.

The defensive midfielder was released by AFC Leopards and he was now moved to Zambia, joining the bottom-placed Prison Leopards on a three-month deal.

His agent Alukwe Mutanda has confirmed the player’s transfer to Zambia.

“He’s not a prison Leopards player. The technical bench watched him keenly in training and they were impressed. He has signed a short-term deal and if he impresses during that period, they are likely to offer him another deal,” he told Ducor Sports.

Majid started out at Sony Sugar before moving to the now-defunct Karuturi Sports. He later played for KCB, Bandari, Chemelil Sugar and AFC Leopards.

He’s a full Kenyan international. He made his debut for the national team in 2016 but has found it difficult to break to the national squad in recent years.

He joins other Kenyan players plying their trade in Zambia. They include Musa Mohamed and Duncan Otieno who turn out for Nkana. David Owino, Jesse Were and Anthony Akumu who turn out for Zesco United. Ian Otieno and Andrew Tololwa turn out for Red Arrows.
