Wantaway Nice’s right-back Youcef Atal has been tipped to be in the books of a top club by Liazid Sandjak.

A PSG veteran, Liazid, 53, granted an extensive interview to an Algerian publication when he got posed a question about Atal, the most in-demand Desert Foxes’ player at the moment.

“I personally hope Atal will soon join a big club because he has everything one wants in a right-back and has the mind for it,” Sandjak said.

Versatile and one of the forces that propelled Algerian to the Africa Cup of Nations gong, Atal is a mainstay for Nice and his performance hasn’t gone unnoticed with reports linking him with either Barcelona or PSG.

In retrospect, the aforesaid outfits are the sole cash-loaded teams able to match Nice’s € 25m valuation of the North African.

The Red and Black are digging their heels over sanctioning any deal that would part them with their hot-shot, insisting he stays at least beyond the winter transfer window despite having a long contract.

Atal has featured in eleven of fifteen outings, ten of those from the lineup.
