El Makkasa and Uganda international midfielder Khalid Aucho says he would still welcome a move back to record Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia in future.
The 26-year-old is struggling to earn himself a starting role at the Egyptian outfit with only five starts and one goal pointing out another frustrating season ahead for the Ugandan international.
However, he still has a soft spot in his heart for K’Ogalo and would not hesitate to return in the future despite parting ways in September 2016 with less than six months remaining on his contract.
“Gor Mahia remains my club and will always be my club. If another chance came my way, why not? I wouldn’t mind playing for the club again,” Aucho told Gor Mahia portal.
“I loved the club… The only club l played with passion, the only club l ever enjoyed my football.”
The Cranes midfielder also talked about Kenyan Premier League compared to other leagues abroad especially in Asia and Europe where he played before his return to Africa.
“Kenyan league is not bad, what is needed is just some good organization. Leagues in Asia and Europe where l have been to before are so organized. KPL just need to be organized right from the management to the clubs,” he added.
In his 36 appearances in Gor Mahia, the talented defensive midfielder scored four goals with seven assists.
He left K’Ogalo for South African Premier Soccer League outfit Baroka and after one season, he was moved to India where he joined Red Star Belgrade.
At Red Star, Aucho failed to make it into the first team and was eventually let go in 2017 before joining Indian Side East Bengal.
His stay with Bengal was short-lived as he eventually joined Church Hill Brothers in 2018, the club he was playing for before joining Makkasa.
