Harambee Stars ‘Super Fan’ Isaac Juma Hacked To Death In Western Kenya

A Harambee Stars super fan who is said to have not missed a game since 80’s has been slashed to death by a machete wielding gang in Mumias, Western Kenya.

Isaac Juma Onyango, popularly known as ‘Ingwe’ or ‘AFC Leopards’, was accustomed by a gang of about three men armed with pangas, knives and clubs as he came out of a shop within Mumias at around 11pm Wednesday.

Western Regional police boss Peris Muthoni has confirmed, adding that one of the assailants has been arrested and is being interrogating for more information.

“We have a suspect over the murder to know more,” she said.

Juma’s badly mutilated body was recovered several meters from his homestead.

The reason behind the killing is yet to be established, but  sources indicate that the brutal murder is linked to land dispute in the area.

Juma always had a message after the other on his tummy and back and one could never tell his face because it was always colored in red, green, black and white.

His jig around the stadium and traditional dances, his constant clutch on his albeit fast fading Kenyan flag made him the face of Kenyan game.

He leaves behind two widows and 10 children,six with his first wife Christian Juma and four with second wife Fridah Juma.
