Horoya AC will be targeting for their first win of the group stage when they meet Raja Casablanca in a 2021/2022 CAF Champions League B clash at the Stade Mohamed V on Friday.
The Guineans started their campaign with a 1-0 loss to ES Setif before losing by the same margin to Amazulu away from home.
Horoya are currently placed at the bottom of the table with no point from their two matches.
And to keep their quarter-finals hopes alive, they will have to avoid further disappointment when they face the Moroccan giants.
Horoya assistant coach Sekou Soumah who attended pre-match conference said morale was high at the team camp after the win on Friday.
“Morale is high and as everyone knows the importance of the game ahead of us, we have to get a good result against Raja. The troop is motivated, everyone knows the objective to be achieved,” Soumah said.
“ We have our backs against the wall and therefore have to react. Big clubs never lose three times so it’s up to us to pull ourselves together and register a good result tomorrow.”
Meanwhile, group leaders Raja Casablanca will be looking to extend their unbeaten run and consolidate their first place.
Marc Wilmots men secured a precious 1-0 win while visiting ES Setif in Algiers in their campaign opener, before beating Amazulu by same margin in Morocco.
Raja Casablanca are three-time former Champions League winners and they are current African Confederation Cup holders.
They are currently sitting on the top of Group B with six points and will be looking to use their home ground advantage to break the HAC defence.
