Yanga Coach Set To Ditch Club For Moroccan Side

Yanga coach Mohamed Nasreddine Nabi is reported to be on the verge of joining Moroccan side AS FAR Rabat ahead of the 2022/2023 league season.

The fiery tactician had thrown his future at Yanga into balance at the end of 2021/2022 campaign saying his chances of being in charge of  the Citizens in the upcoming season were 50/50 after helping the team win Tanzania Mainland Premier League.

Tanzanian publication Mwananchi now reports that the experienced tactician is close to taking over at AS FAR Rabat  after reaching an agreement with the club management.

The Swahili newspaper went on and quoted Rabat president Mohamed Haramou who hinted about the changes in the club.

“We will have great improvements in our team next season, Rabat is not a team to accompany other teams. We will bring the best players who will restore the strength of this team, we are also doing the process of bringing a great coach who will be right for this club, we can find someone from Tunisia with citizenship of Belgian or French,” Mwananchi quoted the club president.

The move to Morocco, if it happens, will constitute a sudden change of heart for the experienced trainer who only recently announced he’d rejected offers to prolong his stay at the giant club.

Nabi has a wealth of experience in Africa having coached teams in DR Congo, Egypt, Sudan and Libya.

The Tunisian tactician was also coach of Italian fourth-tier side Pont Donazz Hone Arnad between July and November 2019.
