Kazier Chiefs Sign Burundian Striker

South Africa Premier Soccer League giants Kaizer Chiefs have bolstered their squad with the signing of Burundian striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana.

The 24-year-old was previously on the books of Kaisar in Kazakhtan top-flight league and has now made a switch to Dstv Premiership.

The Burundian forward becomes the first major signing for the Amakhosi and has penned a two-year deal with a further one-year option.

Bimenyimana begun his footballing career at Vital’O in his native Burundi n 2016, before moving on to Rayong Sport in Rwanda.

Apart from Kazakhstan, the youngster has also played club football in countries such as Latvia, Lithuania and  Slovakia.

“Kaizer Chiefs have signed striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana on a two-year deal with a further one-year option,” confirmed Arrows on the club’s official Twitter account.

“Bimenyimana was born in Bujumbura in 1994. His exceptional football talent has seen him play in a variety of countries.”

The striker becomes the second Burundian to play for Chiefs after Valery Nahayo, who was with Amakhosi between 2008 and 2011.

He made his international debut in 2017 and represented the Central African nation in different competitions on 17 occasions and scored 4 goals.
