Brazil To Play Ghana And Tunisia Ahead Of World Cup

Brazil will take on Ghana and Tunisia in their final matches ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this year.

The meeting between the Selecao and Black Stars of Ghana on September 23 will take place in Abu Dhabi, while their final game against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia will be played on September 27 in undisclosed venue.

Ghana and Tunisia will also be in the 2022 World Cup where the Black Stars will face Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in Group H. Tunisia was drawn in Group D alongside France, Denmark and Australia.

Brazil are scheduled to release their squad for the two matches he squad for the games on September 9 (Friday), at 11 am.

The five-time world champions were drawn in Group G alongside Serbia and Switzerland, two teams they faced at the same stage at Russia 2018, and Cameroon, group-phase opponents of Brazil’s when they hosted the tournament in 2014.

Brazil has faced Cameroon six times, winning every match bar a 2003 Confederations Cup game they lost 1-0 – a victory later overshadowed by the death of Marc-Vivien Foe at the same tournament.

Cameroon lost 4-1 to then hosts Brazil in the 2014 World Cup, the last time the Indomitable Lions contested global football’s showpiece event.

Tite and Brazil last played the five-time African champions in a 2018 friendly in England where Everton striker Richarlison’s solitary goal proved the difference between the two sides.
