George Lwandamina Denies Applying For Hearts Of Oak Job

Kabwe Warriors coach George Lwandamina has denied applying for Hearts of Oak claiming that un-named agent submitted his name without his knowledge for the job.

The former Azam FC was said to have been one of the coaches lobbying to replace Samuel Boadu, who recently quit the Phobians on mutual grounds.

But Lwandamina told LUV FM Kumasi that one of his agents might have sent his (Lwandamina’s) profile to the Ghanaian Premier League giants.

“I have so many agents who do things for me so I am sure maybe, one of them did the submission (of CV),” Lwandamina said.

“I haven’t heard it from anyone other than yourself so if that has been done, it could be one of the agents but I have never heard anything from anyone”.

The 59-year-old is currently the coach of Zambian Super League outfit Kabwe Warriors, a position that he took in June after parting ways with Tanzanian side Azam FC.

He had joined Azam after stepping down as the technical director at  FAZ Super Division club Prison Leopards where he had signed an open-ended twelve month deal.

The experienced gaffer had switched to Prison after parting ways with Zesco in September 2020 after two years on the job.
