Simba’s CAF Opponents Set Arrival Date

Angolan giants Premiero de Agosto are scheduled to touch down in Tanzania on Friday ahead of their Caf Champions League return leg game against Simba Sports Club.

The second round clash is slated for Sunday at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam from 4pm East African Time.

A contingent of 21 players and 10 officials, depart Luanda-based Quatro de Fevereiro International airport at 4pm and are expected to land at the Julius Nyerere International airport at about 8pm.

De Agosto lost the first leg 3-1 at home to Simba, putting them in a tight position as they will need a 3-0 win to progress to the group stages.

Simba looking to go a step further than their opponents after a failing to make to the group stages of the competition last season.

The Msimbazi Reds care-taker coach John Mgunda remain cautious of a wounded Angolan side that has graced group stages of the competition more times than Simba in the recent years.

“It is not over until it’s over, we managed to win 3-1 at their home soil and they can win in the same margin at our home venue. I commend my players for the best job, but they have to avoid to ‘walk shoulder-high’ and be satisfied with the victory. I just want to remind them that we still we still have an assignment at our home venue,” Mgunda said.

As the host team, Simba are mandated to provide transport to the guest team who on the other hand caters for their accommodation and food during their stay in the country.
