Vipers’ Robertinho Bullish Ahead Of CAF Return Clash

Vipers Sports Club coach Roberto Oliveira Goncalves do Carmo a.k.a Robertinho is in a bullish mood ahead of tomorrow’s encounter against TP Mazembe in the CAF Champions League at the Stade de Mazembe.

Robertinho’s team held the five-time African champions to a goalless stalemate in the first-leg of the CAF Champions League second round played last weekend in Uganda.

The Brazilian gaffer said his charges are geared for tomorrow’s game and they go into Saturday’s game with a glimmer hope of making it to the group stages.

“Some people have written us off after the first leg goalless draw against TP Mazembe but we are determined to give our best on Saturday,” said Robertinho.

“Everything in football is possible but we came here in Lubumbashi for the win. My players are ready, motivated and determined.”

The Uganda champions are also breathing easy as all the players are fit to pick up their away match against the Congolese giants.

The winner over the two games will progress to the group stages, while the other team will progress to the CAF Confederation Cup.
