Official Match Ball For The Beach Soccer AFCON Revealed

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and Umbro have unveiled the Official Match Ball for the Beach Soccer 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.

The match ball comes with a new flashy and vivid blue colour that celebrates the spirit of the exciting event while aimed at enhancing the fan viewing experience at home and in Mozambique during the competition on sand.

Umbro settled on the new, vibrant blue hue as it sets the ball apart as it makes it much more visible, especially on TV screens and other screens from which the matches will be watched. It will, therefore, allow fans to more easily follow the unbelievable acrobatics when the hostilities get underway.

From the photos, the the ball is seen as durable machine-stitched construction with a dual layer foam cushion and fabric-patched carcass.

Mozambique and Malawi will slug it out in the opening ceremony on October 21 in Maputo. It will be the first time in their history that Malawi compete in the Beach Soccer AFCON.

The tournament will kick-off on 21 October 2022 in Vilankulo – the holiday resort town in Mozambique.

Senegal are the defending champions having won their third trophy last year in Saly Portudal.

The winner and runners-up at the 2022 Beach Soccer AFCON will qualify for the 2023 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
