Nyasa Big Bullets Confirm Defensive Duo Signing

Nyasa Big Bullets confirmed Tuesday they have signed Kenyan duo Clyde Senaji and Collins Okumu on a free transfer.

Senaji, 26, joins the Peoples Team just two months after parting ways with Football Kenya Federation Premier League side Tusker.

The talented defender’s hard work has not gone unnoticed, having risen to become a key player for the Brewers before quitting to seek green pastures in mid-January.

Senaji joins the club on a one-year deal following successful trials under coach Kalisto Pasuwa.

“I am finally happy to get a contract with the champions of Malawi. It has been tough to secure a contract after undergoing high-intensity training with the team and I am looking forward to achieving more with this big club,” he said.

“I have played for a big team in Kenya, AFC Leopards, which has a huge following just like Bullets, so I was up for the challenge and it came out good.”

Meanwhile, Big Bullets also confirmed the signing of former Bidco United defender Collins Odhiambo Okumu on a one-year deal until 2024.

The center-back also impressed coach Pasuwa during his three-week trial with the club, including his involvement in the 2023 Pre-Season International Bonanza at the weekend.

“It’s a good platform to showcase my talent and I believe Bullets is a big team. I am looking forward to the new challenge and I promise to work hard because I believe in myself,” Okumu reacted after signing the deal.

“It was a nice environment because judging by the experience, the fans push you to work extra harder and playing in front of them was a plus for me. I thank them for the support they gave me on Sunday.”
