Injured Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan joined the Black Stars on Tuesday during their training session in Dubai.
The 30-year-old who is out of the team following an injury he sustained last week while playing for his new Club Al Ahli showed up at the training ground to try and inspire the players as they prepare for the group E World Cup qualifier against Egypt.
In an interview with the Ghanaian FA, Gyan said,
”It feels great to see my colleagues training. I wish I could join them but it’s all part of the game,”

”I live in Dubai and with the team in Dubai, I have to show up and give them my blessings.”
A rather distraught Gyan was not happy to miss the clash but insists he believes the selected player will be up for the task.
The black Stars will be playing the Pharaohs in the second group game of Group E on November 13th aiming to go top of the table. Ghana are currently second with one point and will hope to avoid defeat to keep their Russian World Cup qualification hopes alive. In the same group, Uganda will be taking on last placed Congo Brazaville at the Namboole stadium in Kampala.
