Mohamed Salah and Ahmed Ben Ali of Roma and Pescara respectively featured in their team’s Saturday fixtures. There was no African scorer in the Serie A this weekend.
Spain
Algeria’s 25-year-old defender Aissa Mandi fired in the opening goal but in the end, Real Betis would fall short to Real Sociedad.
Elsewhere, at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque – watched by nine thousand four hundred and seventy-two fans – Ghana’s Mubarak Wakaso got booked in relegation-threatened Granada’s 1-0 slip to fellow strugglers, Leganes.

Netherlands and Austria
