The future of Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho is uncertain, but the Nigerian isn’t without options to reaffirm his chances of first team football. It is understood that seven clubs are interested in signing Iheanacho; Leicester City, West Brom and Southampton inclusive.
West Ham has also shown great interest to the extent of willing to dig dip to meet the £20m fee that is understood to be City’s price tag in an attempt to strengthen its front line before next season’s campaign after Andy Caroll and Diafra Sakho were hit with injuries again, leaving the Hammers crippled in attack.
Everton is also understood to be in pursuit of the striker’s services with Ronald Koeman known to be an admirer of the Manchester City starlet and could look at him as a potential replacement for want-away star Romelu Lukaku.
Outside England, there have been whispers mentioning an interest from German Bundesliga side, Hoffenheim with rumors of a potential loan. The German side finished the season fourth and qualified for the Champions League.
But there is a possibility that Everton’s chances of signing the Nigerian may have improved after the player’s agent, Olumide Olowu, ruled out a potential move to Tottenham this summer, stating an unlikely move to a direct rival – a top four finisher with automatic qualification to play Champions League football.
Hoffenheim offers Champions League football, but a stay in England may be more desirable and Everton’s return to European football next season, is a bonus ammunition after the side clinched a top-seven position.

The Nigeria international whose contract runs out in 2021 has found it hard to fit in Pep Guardiola’s plans regardless of his commitment on and off the pitch to the club. Nevertheless, Aguero’s outstanding form and the manifested arrival of Gabriel Jesus has pushed him further down the ranks.
Guardiola may have applauded the Nigerian’s great attitude during training but several questions remain over whether he fits the City manager’s play format and style.
