Manchester City and German Ace, Leroy Sane is currently the fastest Premier League player with his speed clocked at 35.48km/hr.
The young talented midfielder has been a revelation this 2017/18 season, racking up eight goals and assisting five times, bringing his overall tally to 17 goals and 11 assists from 38 appearances.
The 21-year-old was always destined to shine as he comes from a sporting family with both parents having decorated careers in their respective disciplines. His mother, Regina Weber Sane is the only German female Olympic medal winner in rhythmic gymnastics and his father, Souleymane Sane, is a former Senegal International footballer.
Sané was born in 1996 on 11th January in Germany but holds dual citizenship with his Father who was born in Senegal but was raised in France. He was named Leroy in honor of his father’s former coach, Claude Le Roy.
The German International began playing football at the age of five in 2001 for SG Wattenscheid 09 and in 2005, he joined Schalke 04. He then moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen only to return to Schalke 04 in 2011.
In 2016, Sané moved to Manchester City in a £37 million five-year-deal and has since gone on to have a blistering career that has seen him nominated for PFA Young Player of the Year award and Player of the Month-October.
Despite having a ‘shiny’ career, the 21-year-old ace is yet to win silverware at an individual or senior level and will be hoping to add a Premier League title to his accolades if Manchester City continues to ‘gobble’ up the opposition.
