Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of defender Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan, the French Ligue 1 giants have confirmed.
The Morocco international full-back, who had joined Inter last season from Real Madrid after completing a successful season on loan at Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, have signed a five-year contract.
Paris Saint-Germain confirmed Hakimi’s transfer by releasing a statement via their website on Tuesday evening.
“Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the transfer of Achraf Hakimi,” the statement said.
“The 22-year-old Morocco right-back, who also has Spanish nationality, signed a five-year contract and is tied the club from the French capital until 30 June 2026.”
Hakimi was a crucial part of the Inter side that won Serie A for the first time since 2010, making 45 appearances in all competitions.
Despite additional interest from Chelsea and Manchester City, it is Mauricio Pochettino’s side who have sealed a deal for the talented youngster.

On their part Inter Milan released a statement thanking the defender for the time spent with the club: “We would like to thank Achraf for his contribution to our Scudetto triumph last season and wish him all the very best for the next stage of his career.”
Hakimi graduated from Real Madrid’s prestigious academy and made his first-team debut in 2017 and after just 17 games he moved to Borussia Dortmund on loan.
He represented the Atlas Lions in both the 2018 World Cup and the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations where they reached the round of 16.
