It took a brilliant 49th-minute effort in the first-half to assure Angola of third-place spot and bronze after the fixture had initially looked headed for a draw over the weekend.

Osvaldo Kampelda had opened the scoring in the 28th minute before Nigeria’s Wisdom Ubani stabbed home his third of the tournament with his equalizing goal two minutes later.

Sparing his side of their blushes, Zito Lovumbo delivered the blow, poking home the game’s third and the winner as Angola picked their first medal in Africa in this category.

Celebrations soon followed at conclusion of the fixture with The Palanquinhas one of the side to represent Africa in U-17 World Cup.
