Coach Mohammed Camara feels his elephants executed his plans after a 2-1 group stage win over Senegal.

Coach Mohammed Camara feels his elephants executed his plans after a 2-1 group stage win over Senegal.

Samba Diallo raced Senegal in the lead after just ten minutes before Algassime Bah evened matters in the 33rd minute prior to new entrant Momo Fanye Toure packing home the game’s third to hand Guinea a first win at the Chamazi Stadium in the ongoing Africa U-17s tourney.

Gaffer Camara believes his charges worked the strategy to perfection which neutralized Senegal on the wings.

“My players executed our plans well today and did their best to win. We knew that Senegal are good on the flanks and we came out with the strategy to contain them, and I am happy that it worked out,” he said.

“The last game (against Morocco) is very important and we will sit with the boys to congratulate them on this victory and to plan for the next,” he states.

Guinea’s first outing ended in a 2-0 defeat to group table-toppers Cameroon who are on six points following another win over Morocco.

In previous fixtures, Uganda sailed over Tanzania 3-0 while Nigeria humbled Angola 1-0.
