Algerian Goalkeeper Slapped With 4-match Suspension

Alexandre Oukidja is facing a month’s ban after squaring up to an opponent.

Angers were battling Metz in a match the latter won 1-0 but trouble simmered when an exasperated Alexandre Oukidja went for an Angers player.

The 32-year-old pulled the opponent and they grappled leading to commotion.

The arbiter brought matters to a calm but Alexandre Oukidja wasn’t having none of it which prompted the referee to flash his red at him.

But still unable to control his demons, the net-minder walked off the pitch and stomped on an object before going out of the tunnel.

The French Ligue’s disciplinary committee viewed footages of the incident and decided a 4-match ban will do for his show of “insolence”.
