The former Inter Milan has featured only five times this campaign season prior to breaking his cruciate ligament.

He was the side’s highest goal-getter term notching in a combined sixteen goals before picking up the abrasion and lasting starring in October.

Employers are meant to cater for an injured player but according to Algeria that’s not the case, claiming Hoffenheim nearly ruined his career by forcing him to play while injured at one point.

“I was lucky it didn’t get any worse. My career has been put at risk carelessly,” he said.

The 27-year-old continued: “There is no more trust (between them and me). After my surgery, I spent three days in Hoffenheim under treatment but since no manager or coach thought it right to ask me how I was, I went to Paris to visit my doctor so as not to disturb them.”

However, sixth-placed Hoffenheim have denied the allegations, claiming the forward was offered the best medical attention possible.

“All stages of the treatment have been applied in accordance with the highest medical standards and we are in close contact with Ishak” the club’s sports director Alexandria Rosen told the Bild an hour ago publication.
