Comoros international goalkeeper Ali Ahamada has found a new home after his move to Norwegian side SK Brann from Turkish side Kongsvinger.

Comoros international goalkeeper Ali Ahamada has found a new home after his move to Norwegian side SK Brann from Turkish side Kongsvinger.

The 28-year-old France-born stopper joins Brann on a one-year deal, ending speculations he could join French Ligue 1 outfit Dijon.

“SK Brann confirm the signing of Comoros goalkeeper on a one-year contract with a further option,” Brann said in a brief statement on Wednesday.

Brann recently allowed Ralf Fährmann to leave upon the expiry of his contract, opting to fill his void with the free agent who has five years in Turkey.

Ahamada began his youth career at Martigues in France and moved on to Toulouse after eight years.

The custodian was promoted to Toulouse’s senior side in 2011 and went on to make 109 appearances for the side.

During that period, Ahamada kept 44 clean-sheets and became famous for scoring for his side in a 2-2 draw with Rennes in 2012.

After five seasons, the former Tottenham Hotspurs target moved to Turkey where he turned for Kayserispor and Kongsvinger.

The lanky shot-stopper received his first call up to the Comoros national team in March 2016 and made his debut a historic 1–0 win over Botswana in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
