Angry Kabylie Coach Dresses Down Players after Conceding 4 Goals in 2 Games

It wasn’t a pleasant sight in the locker room following JS Kabylie’s humbling to former league winners Constantine.

It wasn’t a pleasant sight in the locker room following JS Kabylie’s humbling to former league winners Constantine.

Sources say coach French coach Hubert Velude was left seething in the aftermath of last week’s away defeat, a scenario leaving Kabylie without a win in two outings while conceding four goals.

Talking at players at the top of his lungs, the French tactician was visibly enraged by the team’s recent slip-ups as they plummeted to third in the standings, seven points behind table-topping MC Alger.

The 60-year-old labelled the loss to Constantine as “unforgivable” and “unacceptable”, senior sources at the Algerian Premier League club intimated to Ducor Sports.

In July, Hubert was brought in as a replacement to compatriot Franck Dumas who vacated JS managerial seat after finding the club board’s demands “unthinkable”.

The condition for Hubert’s appointment was that he should go a step further than the second-place his predecessor attained by winning the title and possibly reaching the semis of the CAF Champions League.

However, with the dip in form dogging the outfit and with a controversial Cheriff Mellal as president, questions are already being made regarding the coach’s future.

Velud hopes the dressing down he delivered to players could “wake them up from their slumber” in time to recuperate and catch up with those at the summit of the 16-team Algerian top tier league.
