Former Burkina Faso international Aristide Bance has been appointed assistant coach of struggling Ivorian giants Williamsville Athletic Club.
The club confirmed on Monday that Bance, who once played for rival club ASEC Mimosas for two years, will be a valued addition to the Abidjan-based outfit.
Prior to his appointment, Bance had been linked with a vacant job at Malian Premiere Division outfit Soni AC de Gao who are currently in hunt for a new gaffer.
“We have appointed Aristide Bance as assistant coach. Bance is experienced as a player and has all the qualities to lead any side. He will definitely be helpful to the club and his knowledge of the game will improve the youngsters,” a source at WAC told Ducor Sports.

A household name in the African soccer scene, Bance retired from football in July this year immediately after quitting Guinea outfit Horoya AC.
He played 79 times for Burkina Faso, scoring 24 goals, and helped the ‘Stallions’ finish second in the 2013 Cup of the Nations and third in the competition four years later.
Apart from Guinea, Bance has played in Belgium, Burkina Faso, Egypt, Finland, Germany, the Ivory Coast, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Qatar, South Africa, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates.
