AS Kaloum coach Antonio Dumas is fighting for his life in a Conakry hospital where he is at the Intensive Care Unit following a serious illness.

The 69-year-old was admitted on Friday in critical condition and was later transferred to the ICU where he is being currently treated.

The Brazilian coach is the second member of the club with a health scare. His assistant Souleymane Abedi Camara has been in hospital in Tunisia where he was admitted complaining of severe pain.

Kaloum secretary-general Aboubacar Traore confirmed that the tactician is at the hospital and is receiving treatment.

“Dumas was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but I can confirm that he is in stable condition now. There should be no panic and we will be giving updates on his improvement as we go along.”

He added that both players and officials have been visiting Dumas at the hospital to support him and his family.

In the absence of Dumas at training, Kaloum senior players have taken charge since the former Equatorial Guinea national team coach has been working without an assistant for several weeks.

Kaloum are scheduled to host FC Santoba on Monday in a Guinean top-flight match set to be played at September 28 Stadium in Conakry.
