AS Vita center-forward Jean-Marc Makusu has joined Moroccan outfit RS Berkane on a three-year deal worth $486,436.

The 26-year-old has been the target of several international clubs but has finally settled for the Moroccan outfit who had agreed on a deal in principle with Kinshasa-based outfit.

The Congolese has been in sensational form for the Black Dolphins since joining the club in the 2018 January transfer window from Egyptian side Wadi Degla. He is the club’s top scorer having bagged over 40 goals in all competitions.

“Jean-Marc Makusu has signed for RS Berkane of Morocco on a three-year deal. The transfer amount is $486,436” AS Vita statement read.

“After the end of the Congolese league for season 2018/2019, he will join the club. Good luck to Jean-Marc Makusu and thanks for the services rendered in our club.”

Makusu has often been linked with a transfer to the Moroccan League in the past and was reported by Top Congo FM on February saying that he had spoken to his international colleagues about making the move.

“I’ve spoken a lot to players from Central Africa who have played in the Moroccan League,” Makusu said. “They knew that I was going to make the move but they didn’t know where. I took my time to make a decision.”

It has been reported by KickOff that the eight-time capped Leopards attacker will earn a $35,000 (R500 000) a month with the Moroccan side.
