Congolese international Jean-Marc Mundele Makusu could be on his way to South Africa Premier Soccer League giants Orlando Pirates.

Congolese international Jean-Marc Mundele Makusu could be on his way to South Africa Premier Soccer League giants Orlando Pirates.

The 28-year-old has been in good form since his return from a double-leg break injury which halted his transfer to Moroccan side Renaissance Sportive de Berkane where he was set to join in July 2019 on a three-year deal.

According to Ouragan FM, the Sea Robbers have already approached Makusu’s agent for the services of the striker who is already in Johannesburg to sign a loan deal.

“Makusu is loaned with an option to buy to the South African team of Orlando Pirates for the 2020-2021 sports season. The star striker of AS V. Club from Kinshasa is already near Johannesburg where he will wear the colours of ‘The Buccaneers’ of Orlando Pirates,” Ouragan FM reports.

“Makusu, who has returned from a long period of injury, will try to win in this formation, which will play in the 2020-2021 African Confederation Cup. The former Black Dolphins striker wants to bring his experience to the blacks and whites of Soweto.”

The striker had a stupendous campaign last season when he finished AS Vita’s all-time top scorer having netted 44 goals across all competitions and was the Confederations Cup top scorer.

Makusu joined AS Vita in the 2018 January transfer window after spending a year through the ranks of Egyptian Premier League outfit Wadi Degla.
