Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have appointed Maxwell Konadu as their new head coach on a three-year deal, Ducor Sports understands.

The club parted ways with Norwegian tactician Kjetil Zachariassen in November after just three months in charge.

The former Wa All Stars trainer’s appointment has been confirmed by one of the officials at Kotoko, who added that the coach will take home $5,000 at every month.

This will be his second tenure at Kotoko having guided the team to the 2011 Ghana Premier League trophy.

His first competitive game in charge will be the President Cup against Hearts of Oak at Cape Coast Stadium on 15 December
