Former South Africa striker Ayanda Dlamini finally has been confirmed as Amazulu head coach on a permanent basis.
The former Usuthu player takes over the Absa premiership side following last month’s sacking of Slovakian tactician Jozef Vukusic.
And now, after Dlamini’s magic of rescuing the club from relegation, the management has rewarded the 35-year-coach by confirming him as the head coach, five months after he took the job on acting capacity.
Dlamini has signed a three-year deal to continue leading the technical team as it begins preparations for the next season.
In seven matches in charge, Dlamini has led Usuthu to two wins, four draws and only one loss. The results led the team to 13th place on the log after a tough season.
“We would like to thank Dlamini for the great job he has done, and it is with pleasure that we announce him as our head coach for the next three years,” said Amazulu general manager Lunga Sokhela.
“It was not hard to announce Dlamini, he knows and understands the club’s culture. If you look at clubs all over the world like Real Madrid, they have Zinedine Zidane. And there is Mikel Arteta at Arsenal.”
Amazulu portal describes the former attacker who spent the majority of his playing career at AmaZulu, as a coach who understands what the club is about and how much it’s success means to the Usuthu faithful.
