Ben Malango’s Agent Convinced The Best Is Yet To Come From Raja Striker

Faustino Mukandila, the agent of Raja Casablanca striker Ben Malongo, has admitted the striker has not produced his ‘best moment’ for the Moroccan club this season.

Faustino Mukandila, the agent of Raja Casablanca striker Ben Malango, has admitted the striker has not produced his ‘best moment’ for the Moroccan club this season as they prepare to face his former club TP Mazembe in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The 26-year-old Congolese international has scored eight goals and four assists in his 23 appearances so far, but Mukandila insists he can still become an even better player.

“Everyone respects him here (at Raja), the club’s officials, players, fans which makes him feel at ease. It has been a great experience so far and we are looking for more joy,” Mukandila told BBC Sport.

Malango joined the Moroccan side in July 2019 on a three-year deal but his debut at Morocco Botola league was put off due to a complaint from former club Tout Puissant Mazembe.

However, the player obtained provisional authorisation from FIFA to play with his new team in September last year.

In his debut, the former Don Bosco frontman made a good showing with his technical skill and ever since he has established a special place in the North African side.

“He was injured for 4 months last season and we can only now see his form is coming back. We will see the best of him in the second part of the season,” he agent added.

“We are in Raja and let see what the future will bring, but of course playing in Europe is something we think about.

“We already have calls from teams in Gulf and some in Europe, but for now the focus is in Raja and the challenges that are ahead and then we will see how It goes at the end of the season.”

Raja, who are three-time Africa champions, will host Mazembe on 28 February at Mohamed V Athletic Complex in Casablanca with the return leg set for Lubumbashi a week later.
