Bernard Morrison: Ghanaian Striker Bids Farewell To Simba

Ghanaian striker Bernard Morrison has bid farewell to Tanzania-top flight side Simba Sports Club following the expiration of his two-year contract on June 30.

The 28-year-old arrived at the Ligi Kuu giants in 2020 and made over 50 appearances in all competitions, including the African Champions League.

Taking to his social media, the former Yanga attacker penned a farewell letter to Msimbazi Reds, expressing his gratitude for all the support he received during his time with the Kariakoo-based outfit.

“The time has come to finally close this chapter. If I’m to say something about my stay with Simba SC Tanzania i will write for the whole day without stopping because i had so much fun and felt the love from the office of the club to the dressing room,” Morrison wrote on his official Facebook page.

“As we all know everything has a beginning and an end, this is mine. I’m sorry for those hurt by my departure. For a single shilling spent on me by this wonderful club will forever be remembered, for all the shouts and love by the fans can’t be forgotten.”

Morrison is rumored to be heading back to Yanga where he left two years ago, in a controversial move that saw his former club suing the player for breach of contract.

The well-travelled forward was previously with South Africa Premier Soccer League giants Orlando Pirates.

He has also played for Ghanaian Premier League outfit AshantiGold before switching to DR Congo side AS Vita Club in summer 2015.
