Simba Sports Club coach Patrick Aussems is confident that the club can pull a rabbit out of the hat and book their place in the CAF Champions League quarterfinals this weekend.
The Tanzanian side will host AS Vita in the final match of Group D at the National Stadium on Saturday.
Simba’s chances of making it to the quarter-finals are hanging on the thread due to their 0-2 loss to Algerian side JS Souara.
However, the Belgian believes a victory for Simba won’t be a difficult task as they have able men to do the job compared to the Congolese side.
“I believe the boys will win the match and what is needed is for them to be mentally and physically fit,” the Aussems said.
Vita are expected in the country on Thursday for the eagerly awaited match clash, which will be handled by Moroccan referee Noureddine El Jaafari who will be assisted by Hicham Ait Abbou and Yahya Nouali also from Morocco.
In another Group D game, Al Ahly of Egypt and JS Saoura will lock horns at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
Simba lost to the same opponents 5-0 in the reverse fixture earlier this year.
