ES Setif will look to avenge their recent defeat at the hands of Enyimba FC when the teams meet in a CAF Confederation Cup Group A clash on Sunday.
Kick-off at the 8 May 1945 Stadium in Setif is set at for 19h00 GMT.
The Tunisian side suffered a 2-1 defeat to Enyimba in Aba earlier this month, courtesy of Tosin Omoyele and Austin Oladapo.
This was Black Eagles’ second defeat in the group stages having gone down by a solitary goal to Al Ahly Benghazi in match day two of the competition.
ES Setif’s experience attacker Monsef Bakrar will be looking to inspire his side to victory at home.
Meanwhile, Enyimba will be confident of securing another win against ES Setif this weekend.
Anayo Iwuala is the danger man for the Nigerian giants who will be a one step to the quarter-finals of the competition.
Peoples Elephants coach Fatai Osho has cautioned his charges against a Setif side that has not lost in 10 of their last Confederation Cup home matches.
“Their (ES Setif’s) position also, I want to believe they are not that comfortable.I believe strongly that they deserve more than where they are, looking at the standard of their play, but unfortunately they find themselves in that position,” said Osho.
“They will like to come out of it and one of the avenues of coming out of that situation that they are in is to do well against us and we are quite aware of that.
“On our part, we want to qualify also. We know a result here will give us the opportunity to get close to a quarterfinal ticket, it’s not going to be easy but I think we’re ready for the task.”
Enyimba’s most recent visit to Algeria ended in a 1-0 loss to Paradou AC at the Stade Mustapha Tchaker in the 2019 group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The other match on Sunday between Orlando Pirates and Al Ahly Benghazi -which will likely determine which of the two teams will progress- will be played simultaneously in Johannesburg.
