TS Galaxy head coach Dan ‘Dance’ Malesela is pleased with the progress of the team in Antananarivo ahead of their crucial CAF Confederation Cup second leg of Round of 16 tie against local side CNaPS.
The South African outfit arrived in Madagascar on Wednesday evening just two days after their 1-0 victory over Ajax Cape Town in the National First Division match played at Kameerlrivier Stadium.
Malesela says he is optimistic that his side will book a place in the play-offs of the Confederation Cup, which is the final hurdle before the group stages.
“We have the belief that we can go through. We did well in the first leg to win the match. With the experience that my team is getting, we are starting to value the importance of playing really well away,” Malesela said in an interview with CAFOnline.
In the first leg, Galaxy, who are in their maiden Confederation Cup campaign, scored a valuable goal that came on the fifth minute through Sanele Barns.
“Our focus is now on the second leg, not whether we can make the playoffs or the group stages. I would prefer we take care of our current situation before we think too far ahead,” the TS Galaxy coach added.
Galaxy reached this stage having won both legs of the preliminary round 1-0 against Saint Louis of Seychelles in the first round, taking the tie 2-0 on aggregate.
