CAF Confederation Cup Wrap: Nigeria’s Enugu Dumped, Pyramids Flying High

Nigeria’s Enugu Rangers endured a bad day in office after being romped by Egypt Premier League moneybags Pyramids at home.

Staged at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Rangers began on a prepossessing note with Ibrahim Olawoyin bagging the opener after 28 minutes having been fed by Nnamdi Egbujuo as the score remained the same until after the hiatus.

Libya’s Al-Nasr and Guinea’s Djoliba slugged out a 1-1 stalemate in Benghazi while RSB Berkane from Morocco humbled ESAE Football Club of Benin. RSB headline the group on three points.

Zaid Krouch rifled in the first goal, then Hamdi Laachir pulling off the second and Burkina Faso international Djibril Outtara round off the score in Rabat.

Elsewhere in Johannesburg, AC Horoya tied South Africa’s Bidvest Wits goalless with Ivory Coast’s San-Pedro and Algeria AC Paradou also settling on a similar outcome.
