The high-powered Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) delegation has arrived in Cameroon and started inspection for 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Central Africa country is hosting the tournament next year and the team is in the country to check the venues for the new 24-team format of the competition.
Cameroon has penciled down Yaounde, Bafoussam, Douala, Limbé, and Garoua as the five venues for the tournament and the delegation has hit the ground running for the inspection.
The delegation started their visit in Yaounde on Sunday by visiting Olembe, Omnisports and Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadiums.
The team, which is led by Niger FA President Hima Hamidou, held a meeting later in the day with Minister of Sports Paul Ndji and Minister of defense Joseph Ossomo.
On Monday they inspected the Roumde Adja and Reyre Stadiums, as well as Cotton Sports Football Camp which will serve as the training venues for the teams.
The delegation will look out for hotel facilities, broadcasting standards at the stadium, medical facilities, the stadium and training pitches as well as transport facilities.
They will end their visit on Friday in Bafoussam with a tour to Koiekong Annexe Stadium, Bamendzi Annexe stadium, Tocket Annexe stadium and Mbouda Stadium.
A final press conference will be done later in the day to disclose the outcome of the inspection.
CAF earlier last month promised that it would give the final decision over Cameroon as host of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in November 2018.
It remains a possibility Cameroon may be stripped of the hosting rights, with the outcome of the inspection set to be crucial in deciding whether it remains there or is moved elsewhere.
The competition is scheduled to begin from June 15 to July 13, 2019.
