Malawi Super League giants Nyasa Big Bullets will miss the services of top striker Chiukepo Msowoya when they take Express FC of Uganda in the Cecafa Kagame Cup final on Saturday evening due to bereavement in his family.
Msowoya has been allowed to attend the funeral of his late mother Enala Msowoya who passed away on Friday at Karonga District Hospital after a short illness
The 32-year-old marksman has been given permission by the club to attend to the loss and he will not be there when Big Bullets fight for their maiden regional title against the Ugandan outfit.
Msowoya scored two goals for the Peoples team in their journey to the final and his absences has left his team’s assistant coach Peter Mponda a worried man.
“It’s a very big miss to the team. He is a very big player and a big influence in the dressing room and on the pitch,” said coach Mponda.

Big Bullets are also likely to do without experienced defender Sankhani Mkandawire, who suffered a groin injury during Wednesday semi-final tie against Azam.
The Peoples Team reached the final after stopping Azam FC Tanzania 4-2 on penalty shootouts, having settling for a 2-2 draw after 120 minutes of play.
