Real Madrid will face arch rival and last year’s finalists Atletico Madrid while everyone’s favorite underdog Monaco will host Juventus in this year’s Champions League semi-final fixtures.
Zinedine Zidane will be looking to be the first manager in history to win back to back champions league titles if he manages to overcome title hopefuls Atletico Madrid, who is also hoping this won’t be a repeat of last year’s final in search of the elusive trophy.
French side Monaco who overcame Borussia Dortmund over the two legs will be facing Italian giants Juventus with the latter looking to win its first European title since 1996.
The first leg of each clash will be played on 2nd and 3rd May, with the return leg taking place the following week.
11-time winners Real Madrid is headed for its 12th Champions League trophy after knocking out Germany champions Bayern Munich on 6-3 aggregate while Atletico Madrid knocked out English defending champions Leicester City, on 2-1 aggregate
Juventus edged out Spanish giants Barcelona on 3-0 aggregate while Monaco beat Borussia Dortmund on aggregate 6-3 to reach the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Manchester United is headlining the pool waiting for the UEFA Europa draws. Jose Mourinho’s side is in the pots alongside Ajax (Netherlands), Celta Vigo (Spain) or Lyon (France).
The first leg of the Europa League semi-finals is on 4th May, with the return leg played on 11th of the same month.
