Charles Kabore: Burkina Faso Captain Recovers From Coronavirus

Burkina Faso national team captain Charles Kabore has insisted that he is fully recovered after testing positive for coronavirus.

Burkina Faso national team captain Charles Kabore has insisted that he is fully recovered after testing positive for coronavirus.

Kabore’s was one of the high-profile cases in world football but the Dynamo Moscow midfielder openly admitted the situation did make him panic.

Two other Dynamo Moscow players, Clinton Njie and Roman Evngeniev, also tested positive, same as a handful of other players in the Russian Premier League.

However, after weeks of apprehension and treatment, Kabore sent a message to supporters on Saturday via social media saying that he has recovered from Covid-19.

The 32-year-old thanked everyone who wished him well soon after the news of him testing positive of the coronavirus broke in June.

“I am glad to say thank you to all of you for the prayers…. I am cured; I am doing very well…
Let’s still be careful with this # Covid19. God watch over you,” wrote Kabore as translated from French.

With this development, Kabore will now be able to resume working out at Dynamo training facility.

Kabore was the first Burkina Faso professional player to test positive of the coronavirus, and it happened on the day when Russian Premier League resumed.

The Stallions captain joined Dynamo Moscow in July 2019 on a two year deal from FK Krasnodar and has made 19 appearances for the Russian club in all competitions.
