French gaffer Franck Dumas is fuming over the decision to let key striker Abdul Razak Fiston join Burundi’s national team ahead of their domestic league final title decider.

Razak was asked to fly out to Bujumbura at the request of the Burundi Football Federation to join The Swallows’ Africa Cup of Nations final preparations.

Abdul, 25, is invaluable for Algerian Premier League outfit JSK Kabylie who are in the hunt for the league gong with a point separating them and leaders USM Alger.

They face CA Bordj Bou Arreridj this Sunday in what could sure go on to decide who become the division kings with Alger taking on last season’s champions, Constantine. With such a make or break tie lying in wait, Franck Dumas had hoped all his players will be made available to him for the crunch encounter.

However, to his consternation, Ducor Sports understand the coach was left seething upon learning key striker Razak had been permitted to leave the club’s board without his approval.

Dumas, according to a club insider, reached out to the team’s president and his brother, believed to be the highest authorities in the making of orders of that nature, demanding an explanation.

“I have never seen him (Dumas) in such a state. He calls it a stupid decision,” the source said.

Fiston is capped thirty-seven times by Burundi scoring seventeen goals and would pivotal in the landlocked country’s quest to thrive in Cairo where they square the likes of Nigeria, Guinea Conakry and Madagascar.
