Gambia head coach Tom Saintfiet has released a 28-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations set to take place between January 9 and February in Cameroon.
Gambia, who were drawn in Group F alongside Tunisia, Mali and Mauritania, will embark on their first ever AFCON Campaign on January 12 against Mauritania at Limbe Stadium.

Left out of the pre-selection were Momodou Bojang, influential midfielder Hamza Barry who was recently in the books of Croatian outfit Hadjuk Split and Etoile du Sahel’s Adama Jammeh.
The Scorpions are set to clash with current Africa champions Algeria in an international friendly match on 1 January 2022 before facing Syria four days later in Qatar, as part of their preparations for continental football showcase.
