Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Dennis Onyango is set to come out of international retirement and make his Uganda comeback in the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Kenya.

The veteran glovesman called time on his illustrious career at the national team in April this year after a reported fallout with football authorities in the East African country.

But according Uganda’s leading newspaper Daily Monitor the 36-year-old has decided to come out of retirement.

Uganda is currently under new head coach Micho Sredojevic who wants the football legend return to the Cranes squad.

Onyango has a wealth of international football experience having captained Uganda at the two Africa Cup of Nations-2017 and 2019.

He made his international debut for Uganda on June 18, 2005, during the 2006 World Cup qualifying match against Cape Verde.
