DR Congo’s Dieumerci Mbokani is the standout player in the Belgian First Division A, says Dino Arslangagic.
Mbokani is on a terrific form this season grabbing fourteen goals making him poised for the league’s best player and golden boot awards.
For his exploits, he is touted with a move to the Turkish Super Lig, with Fenerbache one of those admiring his qualities.
The 34-year-old joined Antwerp this season amid question marks over his potential – a skepticism he has risen above.
Recent hints suggest he could be staying put on a condition he is offered a two-year deal with his contract on brink of expiration in June.
However, in the wake of all these, one man who isn’t shocked by Dieumerci’s meteoric rebirth is teammate Dino Arslangagic who believes the goal-getter is the best player in the league this moment.
“He is currently the best attacker in the Belgian competition,” the 26-year-old said.
“If the defence is tired, he can give that breathing space. When we get into trouble and are under pressure, we know that we can kick a long ball at him because he knows how to do something with it.
“We know that it is not just kicking the ball away, that ball is not lost in advance. He can keep up with the ball, he can finish, is good with the head, in short: a complete attacker,” he said.
