DR Congo have lined up two friendly matches in preparation for upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals slated for June 21 to July 19 in Egypt.

DR Congo have lined up two friendly matches in preparation for upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals slated for June 21 to July 19 in Egypt.

The Leopards will play Algeria’s Desert Foxes, who have qualified for the Nations Cup, on Sunday 16 June before taking on Burkina Faso three days later.

The games will be played in Spain where the Leopards will pitch camp ahead of the competition.

The two high profile matches will see Leopards return to action for the first time since they played Liberia in the last AFCON qualifier match.

DR Congo had earlier planned to play Angola but that tie has since been called off.

The Leopards will embark on a two-week training camp in the city of Marbella and according to reports, they will play a couple of friendlies with some La Liga sides in Spain.

Meanwhile, DR Congo coach Florent Ibenge is expected to announce his provisional squad for the competition this Saturday.

The Leopards are locked in Group A with defending Egypt, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
