Burkina Faso international Dramane Nikiema has joined his teammates at Horoya AC after national team duties.
The 31-year-old was with the national team for the last week’s international friendly matches against DR Congo and Madagascar.
The former Santos FC midfielder arrived in El Jadida on Tuesday and quickly joined the group training as part of their Confederation Cup semi-final.
“Everything went well, solidarity was in the national team, which is what allowed us to win the two matches. I rejoin my Horoya teammates again with strength, after these two exploits. That said, I will follow, like my comrades, this course with interest to do our best against Pyramids FC ,” said Nikiema as translated from French.
Nikiema travelled to Morocco on October 5 with Burkina Faso national team and now has crossed from Rabat to El Jadida where the Guinean giants have been camping since Saturday.
Horoya will face Egyptian club Pyramids on 19 October in Casablanca in a one-off semi-final game in the second-tier African club competition.
The semi-finals have all been moved to Morocco due to the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic.
The winner will face one of two Moroccan sides in the final as RS Berkane face Hassania Agadir play in the other semi-final.
Rabat will host the final at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on 25 October with all matches played behind closed doors.
