Eric Choup-Motoing has sent a goodbye message to Paris Saint Germain after two years with the club.

The former Mainz and Schalke 04 player joined PSG in the summer of 2018 from Stoke City and scored six goals in 31 games across all competitions.

And the Cameroon captain in a long post on social media has appreciated the club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the club and the supporters.

“Thank you Paris for beautiful seasons spent in one of the most magnificent clubs in the World,” Choupo-Moting wrote on Instagram as translated from French.

“Thank you to coach Tuchel for the confidence that has always given me. Thank you to the President of Paris Saint Germain.”

Choup-Motoing also suggested he has learnt from his team-mates and the bond they have, and that has made him a better person.

“Thank you all my teammates. I commend your professionalism and your dedication to the evolution of the club,” he added.

The forward also thanked his family members for the support and to all other people who have helped him so far in his career.

“Thank you to my dad who always accompanies me in my football projects. To my wife: I thank you for the morale and the love she gives me every day.

“To my fans and supporters, I thank you for your incredible enthusiasm and incomparable love. Thank you for always being there for me, supporting and encouraging me through the trials and tribulations of life.”

Choup-Motoing will be a free agent on July 1 and hence he has suggested he will wait before deciding which team to join, though it has been suggested he could still remain in France.

Born in Hamburg, the 31-year-old opted to play for Cameroon at international level and has scored 14 times in 49 caps for the Indomitable Lions.
