Trendsetting Algerian-born Ishak Boussouf may not finish this ongoing season in the North African country’s premier league amid a bombardment of interest in him.
An 18-year-old, Ishak made the grades to the first team having caught the eye of coaches in ES Setif’s U-21s outfit.
Capable of fielding in either wing, the Setif-born joined the A-teamers September this year proving to be one of the most reliable performers in a season Setif’s are experiencing a downward spiral.
Scouts of clubs from Europe, especially the French Ligue 1, are believed to be keeping tabs on the youngster’s development amid reports he could be cashed in on before the end of the season.
Valued around 500,000 euros, club president Djaber Zaghalache confirmed receiving offers, revealing the lad’s father had also received proposals from these clubs.
Talks between Djaber and the forward’s dad acting as his representative are expected this week over reaching an agreement before negotiations take a serious turn.
“Indeed, we have received several interesting offers from foreign clubs that want to recruit him. His father has also received other proposals from managers working with teams in Europe.
“We have an appointment this week with the player and his father. We will discuss seriously on the subject. The most important thing is to protect the interests of the player and ours,” Djaber Zaghalache tells an Algerian publication today morning.
