Former Equatorial Guinea Football Federation (FEGUIFUT) President Domingo Mituy Edjang has been banned from all soccer-related activities for 4 years at national and international level for misappropriation of funds and bribery, the world governing body FIFA said on Friday.

Along with the ban, which comes into immediate effect, former FIFA standing committee member Edjang was also fined 80,000 Swiss francs ($80,384).

“The investigation… related to the misappropriation of FIFA Financial Assistance Programme (FAP) funds received by FEGUIFUT in 2014.”

That year, FIFA members received a grant of $250,000 plus an initial bonus of $250,000 from 2014 World Cup revenues.
