Fine on Troubled Tunisian Club Reduced

Club Africain of Tunisia have had a fine placed on them reduced, Ducor Sports understands.

The club, rocked by a financial crisis which is threatening to eat deep into the state of affairs of the outfit, was slapped with a fine for crowd trouble.

Supporters of the Tunis-based club had thrown projectiles onto the pitch during a recent league match loss leaving one of the assistant referees with a nasty cut on the head.

For this, they incurred the wrath of the league disciplinary committee. However, a decision has been taken to reduce the sum to just US$1,409 considering they’re cash-strapped, have debts to pay off and a looming FIFA sanction to contend with.

Meanwhile, the two-game in-door sanction imposed on them remains during which their fans would not be allowed access to matches live.
